"I’ve never hired a muralist before. How much will this cost?"

Every mural I create is priced on an individual basis. I estimate how many days the mural will take to complete and provide you with a proposal that includes both the cost of painting and any additional materials needed. Most of my projects fall between $1,100 and $3,500.

Generally speaking, I charge around $7 - $16 per square foot.

Here are the main factors that influence mural pricing:

• Complexity: How intricate will the mural be? Did you find the idea online or did I hand design it? The more detailed the design (like faces or intricate patterns), the more time it will take, which increases the cost. This generally correlates to time/hours invested.

• Size: The overall size of the wall is a major factor in determining the price, as larger walls require more time to complete. You can use my estimate above based on your square footing to calculate a general price range.

• Access: How easy is it to reach the wall? Is it very tall or located in an area with uneven ground or obstructions? If special equipment like a scissor lift or boom is needed, this will affect the final cost.

• Location: If the mural is outside San Diego County, travel fees may apply.

Payment Options:

Once a design is agreed upon, I will provide a rough time estimate and price estimate. We will then read and sign my contract. A deposit of half of the project cost is required before the beginning date via Cash, Check, Venmo, Cashapp, or Zelle.

The final half is required within 3 days of completion, via the same payment options as above.
